FOLLOW PICASSO'S NIGHT STEPS THROUGH BOHEMIAN BARCELONA OF THE 1900s
This is a literary and
cultural walk in the footsteps of the writers, artist, models
and muses that populated Barcelona in the 1900s. All of them
were Picasso's contemporaries, friends and even ennemies,
related all together by the strong changes of the beginning
of the XXth century: the Industrial Revolution, the Modernism,
the Workers Movement and many others.
The itinerary includes the Barceloneta, the port area, the
Old Town area surrounding the Gothic Quarter, the Ramblas
and the Raval, an old district famous for its bohemian and
artistic connections.
The group will hear about Picasso's first arrival in Barcelona,
his first years in the Arts School, his artistic relations,
his first arts exhibition, his nights out and, in a word,
his strong relation with Barcelona, which constitutes the
basis of his future work.
After the walk the group will enjoy a drink in a real old-century
tavern.
The tour has a duration of 90 min. aprox.
