How to Buy an Itinerary On ICONO’s app for iPhone

For sure you've been on a trip and you've really wanted to take a tour, but you're not sure where to start.  Well, if you have the Barcelona on demand iPhone application, you can search for, find, book and buy tours right from your phone! 

First, you need to download and install the app from the iTunes App Store writing “ICONO” in the search box on the upper right side. You can also download it here. The app is completely free. By following some simple steps you can download the application and start surfing ICONO’s itineraries. The icon will appear on your screen.

 

 

 

From here, you will find a list of our itineraries. Then, you can select an itinerary that looks interesting.  To do that, just tap the desired itinerary. This will bring you to the summary of the itinerary:

 

 

Here, you can read an overall summary of the itinerary.  If you like what you see and would like to explore a little further, you can select any of the buttons at the bottom of the screen.  The button titled "Map" will take you to the map of the itinerary.  There, you can see where all of the stages are.  You can even tap on any of the numbers to see the title of that stage:

 

 

From here, you can find your current location on the map, see a satellite image, a map image, or a hybrid of the two, just like in Google Maps. If you go back to the Summary screen and tap on "Picture" on the bottom of the screen, you can see the picture for the overall itinerary:

 

 

 Back to the Summary screen again, if you tap "Stages," you can see all of the stages in that itinerary in a list:

 

 

From here, you can tap on the "Map" button to see the map of the stages again, or you can tap on any stage for more detailed information. Tapping on a stage will bring up a screen that looks like this:

 

 

Here, you can see a map of this stage, the picture that the user uploaded with this stage, and any suggestions that have been added by the user who created the itinerary.

From either the Summary screen or the Stage screen, you can tap "More..." for the option to share this itinerary with someone, on Facebook, Youtube, twitter… or to read reviews from users:

 

 

Once you've seen the stages, the map and the reviews, if you'd like to buy this guided tour, tap on "Buy It" from the Summary screen.  That will take you to a screen where you can book this tour for any available date right from your phone and pay through Paypal mobile technology, the revolutionary way to send and receive money from mobile phones anytime, anywhere.

ICONO launches a new night tour: The Ghost Walking Tour

ICONO serveis culturals has prepared a new route for the 2010.
The Ghost Walking Tour is a night visit around Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and la Ribera quarters, based on the book “Fantasmes de Barcelona” written by Sylvia Lagarda-Mata. The tour tells the mysterious and hair-raising stories that have been taking place since ages ago.

An experienced guide conducts the visit. Exorcisms, witchcrafts, bewitched convents and records of phantom apparitions invade the streets of Barcelona. Participants will have the chance of discovering those baffling phenomenons in a funny and entertaining way. You can see some pictures of this mysterious route on our Flickr and Facebook profiles.

The Ghost Walking Tour will start next Friday 26th of February at 21,30h. The starting point will be at Arc de Triomf. The tour will be offered on a regular basis twice a month in Spanish and Catalan for a very affordable price. You can also take the route in a private group with an exclusive guide in the language you prefer the most. At the end of the visit, there will be the possibility of having a very special dinner for a “paranormal price” in a restaurant around the tour.
