Museo Joan Abelló
The Museo Joan Abelló is housed in a Modernist building built in 1908. It was opened in 1999 and it houses part of the foundation of the Joan Abelló collection which he donated to the town of Mollet.
The museum’s ethos is based on the permanent exhibition with Catalan artworks from the 19th and 20th centuries. At the same time, the Museum promotes contemporary art with temporary exhibitions and with the Mollet Art contest dedicated to young artists of our country.
The Museum consists of several spaces: The Artist’s House, a labyrinth where the visitor, little by little, discovers the artist’s complex, interesting and diverse collection and the Aparador, a space to produce and divulge the visual arts, an opening for the interdisciplinary nature of the language of emerging artists.
It has a wide activity programme for schools and families.

The aim of the Museum of the History of Catalonia is to put the history of Catalonia on display and make people aware of their shared heritage, and so help them identify with their national history.
The building that we know today as the Palau de Mar is the former General Stores, the sole building of Barcelona's Old Port still standing. The Stores were designed in 1881 by the engineer Maurici Garrán, the first director of the Barcelona Port Board of Works, and were intended for use as trading depots.

Museu Picasso
The Picasso Museum in Barcelona is a key reference for understanding the formative years of Pablo Ruiz Picasso. The genius of the young artist is revealed through the more than 3,800 works that make up the permanent collection. Furthermore, the Museu Picasso, opened in 1963, also reveals his deep relationship with Barcelona: an intimate, solid relationship that was shaped in his adolescence and youth, and continued until his death.
The history of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona is the chronicle of the artist’s firm desire to leave the imprint of his art on our city. Thanks to the wishes of Picasso and his friend and personal secretary, Jaume Sabartés, Barcelona now has the youthful work of one of the twentieth century’s most significant artists.
