In tourism it is said that the experiences are not created, but that they are found

We suggest a new tour created day by day from our own walks.

¿Qué te vamos a mostrar?

Ready to discover the real Barcelona?

If you do not like conventional speeches of guides who repeat the same script day after day, Slow Gothic Tour is what you are looking for.

Definitely the best tour I have ever do. We met the real Barcelona. The guide was really nice. The final stop chatting all together made the difference.

Heald FamilyBrcelona and the Jewish Heritage. 2-6-2015

The only tour where you can sit and chat with the guide.

We are interested in meeting you We do not want to offer you a typical tour to explain the typical things about the city in an anonymous and impersonal way.

On this tour, you will not feel like one more tourist of the bunch anymore. We explain a lot of interesting stories about the past and present of the city. Stories that go beyond dates and architectural styles. Stories of people who lived here before us, before you came to know the city: workers, merchants, nuns, postmen, citizens who lived in Barcelona and who have contributed to making it what it is today.

But we also want to know you. Therefore, at the end of the tour, you can sit down and share a coffee with our guide. You will have the chance to tell him that you are interested and to tell you more about Barcelona.

We do not like rush and in this tour, we take it easy.

What will you see in the Slow Gothic Tour?

Santa Maria del Mar and Montcada street

Many people know Santa Maria del Mar. But not as we explain it to you here. A church for the town built in only 53 years by the citizens of Barcelona. Do you know why the Virgin at the entrance looks towards Montcada Street? Tradition says that the Virgin saved the life of a craftsman unjustly condemned to death.

Slow Gothic Tour

Ribera’s neighborhood

An unknown church with more than 1000 years of history. In 1714 it was under siege for more than a year and the nuns who lived in the convent threw the furniture out of the window to try to stop the attackers. Today, the area of the Church is one of the most authentic and charming neighborhoods in the old part of the city. The surrounding shops will make you fall in love with.

Slow Gothic Tour fuente Sants Just i Pastor

 Just and Pastor saints

Was the Ark of the Covenant hidden in this Forgotten Cathedral? A few steps from the Cathedral of Barcelona and Plaza Sant Jaume is the Basilica of Saints Just and Pastor. A place of 2,000 years of history with much to tell. The square where it is located preserves the oldest fountain in the city. The water came directly from Collserola mountain.

I did the tour on the day of the inauguration. They invited me because I’m a journalist. I have done many things in the city and I can say that this tour is very well done and you discover the Barcelona that few people know. High quality explanations and a fantastic guide.

Àlex FontSlow Gothic Tour. July 2019

FAQ about the Slow Gothic Tour

What is a regularly scheduled tour?

A regularly scheduled tour is a tour that we do with scheduled departures. You buy your ticket for a specific day and time and you will share the tour with other people. We care about the quality of our tours, so you will never find mass groups. If many people sign up, we divide the group into two. In the case of the Slow Gothic Tour, you will never find more than 12 people. In the rest of our regular tours, the maximum is 22 people.

What do you need to do a regularly scheduled tour?

Once the reservation is made, you only have to show up at the meeting point at the indicated time.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes because the tour is on foot. If it’s summer, maybe a bottle of water or something to refresh you may also come in handy.

How can I customize the experience?
