Description of the route

What do the streets of Barcelona hide when night falls? Which stories marked our ancestor’s lives forever? Let yourself become absorbed by the paranormal mysteries of Barcelona with the explanations of an experienced guide.

The Ghost Walking Tour is a night visit around Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and la Ribera quarters, based on the book “Fantasmes de Barcelona” written by Sylvia Lagarda-Mata. The tour tells the mysterious and hair-raising stories that have been taking place in those areas for decades.

An experienced guide leads the visit. Exorcisms, witchcrafts, bewitched convents and records of phantom apparitions invade the streets of Barcelona. Participants will have the chance to discover those baffling phenomena in a funny and entertaining way.

Fun evening!

I booked this for me an my partner for the day we arrived to get to know the area a little as it was held close to our hotel. Christina was lovely she told the stories really well. I wouldnt say it was scary but we enjoyed it and would recommend.

A Unique Way to Tour the City

I love ghost tours and try to find one in every city I am visiting! This was a wonderful way to see the sights and learn some of the legends of Barcelona. Our tour guide was an AMAZING and very animated story teller. I was on the English/Spanish tour and her transition between the two languages made the stories even more captivating. We had a large group, which was fine for the most part, but would have preferred a group . of maybe 8 max.

Ghost Tour of Barcelona

Our guide was lovely and she handled the large group really well. Not very scary or even what I would consider a ghost tour. She was however a great story teller and kept me interested even if it wasn’t what I expected.

FAQ about regular tours

What is a regularly scheduled tour?

A regularly scheduled tour is a tour that we do with scheduled departures. You buy your ticket for a specific day and time and you will share the tour with other people. We care about the quality of our tours, so you will never find mass groups. If many people sign up, we divide the group into two. In the case of the Slow Gothic Tour, you will never find more than 12 people. In the rest of our regular tours, the maximum is 22 people.

What do you need to do a regularly scheduled tour?

Once the reservation is made, you only have to show up at the meeting point at the indicated time.

We recommend wearing comfortable shoes because the tour is on foot. If it’s summer, maybe a bottle of water or something to refresh you may also come in handy.

How can I customize the experience?

This tour can not be customized because it is a regular tour. If you want to do it exclusively you can contact us and customize it to your liking: choose the day, the time and the number of people or change part of the route and include another stop or monument. We will answer you and we can follow the process.

Stories and Legends of the Gothic Quarter: excellent tour and guide.

My husband and I took this tour in May (2018). Our guide Giovanna, was absolutely fantastic! She was so knowledgeable about the Gothic Quarter and made history come to life. She was enthusiastic, very friendly and her English was impeccable. We had another couple on the tour from Spain, and Giovanna was terrific in switching back and forth from Spanish to English without making any of us feel that we were missing anything. This tour was one of the highlights of our Barcelona vacation.

Stories and Legends of the Gothic Quarter Walking Tour – Great Tour! Fun and Interesting!

This was our first trip to Barcelona were a family of four with two adults, in our 40s, and two teenagers 16 and 14. We took the English tour on 27 July 2017. Our guide, Núria, was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and full of information, stories, and legends of the Gothic Quarter! Our tour lasted a bit over two and a half hours, and provided us with lots of interesting information and helped us better appreciate Barcelona, its history, and its culture. We highly recommend this tour! It was lots of fun, and very interesting too!
